Mass believes that investing in and contributing to community is an essential component of our license to operate, underpinned by our capacity to mobilise resources and make a meaningful difference.

In 2021, we held a 60-hour continuous cycle fundraiser to raise funds and awareness for HavenWell – a small, family run charity in Victoria Park that provides daily essential services for people in the Perth community who are struggling.

We were overwhelmed with the success of last year’s event, which raised $32,000 for one of Perth’s frontline, community-driven charitable organisations.

Due to the outstanding support we received for that initiative from participants, stakeholders and the wider Mass community – we have decided to undertake another fundraising event this year. We’re pleased to announce that our 2022 60-hour continuous cycle will begin on Friday, 22nd July at Mass HQ in Osborne Park, Perth.

Executive General Manager at Mass Resources, Mark Lawton, spoke to the planning for this year’s event stating, “It’s been fantastic to see the drive for another event come from every direction in the business – from shareholders to staff. Our team are keen to participate by hopping on the bike and are already actively engaging their networks to raise awareness of both the fundraiser and the causes we’re supporting.”

In addition to HavenWell, this year’s event will also contribute to the essential work of the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation – the leading organisation for brain cancer research, advocacy and awareness in Australia.

“We’re continuing to explore the different ways we can make a positive impact in our community. In recruitment, our industry an intimate one that’s founded upon personal interaction. We have constant touchpoints in our day-to-day work where we encounter individual stories and situations that remind us that we have an obligation, as individuals and as a business, to ensure that we are doing all in our power to be a responsible, progressive and proactive business. This fundraiser is just one of many ways that we can harness the power of our team’s intent and connections to make a meaningful difference,” Mark concluded.
